How young is too young to read the literature greats?  Now your two year old can peruse the classics in style with the Baby Lit series!  We were sent Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes in the Hound of the Baskervilles which come as a sturdy, baby board book.

What is your favourite classic book? To be in with a chance of winning a copy of one of the Baby Lit titles, simply leave a comment telling us which is your favourite classic tale.  Good luck!

The books are stunning; stylishly illustrated, with very little text, they take a flavour of the original classics, focussing on colours or sounds or numbers in a way that’s fun for your toddler.

A Christmas Carol is a colours primer; with black hat (Scrooge) and red scarf (Tiny Tim).  Toddlers will enjoy repeating Scrooge’s refrain: ‘Bah Humbug’  and satisfyingly, Marley retains his description as ‘dead as a door-nail.’

The Hound of the Baskervilles has lots of creepy sounds; gates that screech and hounds that howl: Great fun for parents and toddlers to cuddle up with!

Hound of the Baskervilles and A Christmas Carol are part of the Baby Lit series which includes Jane Eyre and Dracula, as well as a Pride and Prejudice Playset, and make great presents for stylish and/or book-loving families.  We’d very much like to see Oliver Twist next!
